Course Requirements Master of Science in Management

Course Requirements

Students must satisfactorily complete twelve (12) courses to earn the Master of Science in Management degree.

The following nine (9) courses are required for all students:

1. Strategic Planning
2. Advanced Human Capital Management
3. Innovative Management Models
4. Organizational Development and Change
5. Process Reengineering
6. Organizational Behavior and Management
7. Advanced Financial Management
8. Operations and Project Management
9. Managerial Decision Making

Students must complete three (3) courses from a growing list of electives, which can be in the following areas of emphasis.

Lean Emphasis Area:

  • Lean Six Sigma Management
  • DMAIC Six Sigma Management
  • DFSS Six Sigma Management

Accounting Emphasis Area:

  • Advanced Managerial Accounting
  • Government and Not-For-Profit Accounting
  • Advanced Accounting
  • International Accounting
  • Tax Planning
  • Data Mining

Healthcare Management Emphasis Area:

  • Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010
  • Legal Issues in Healthcare
  • Healthcare Economics

Logistics Emphasis Area:

  • Integrated Logistics Design
  • Procurement
  • Logistics Management

Supply Chain Management:

  • Supply Chain Design
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Procurement

Admission Requirements

The Online MSM program admission is based on the following criteria:

  • Completion of the baccalaureate degree from a regionally-accredited institution of higher education
  • completion of an application
  • two letters of recommendation from educators or employers
  • official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate colleges and universities attended
  • resume
  • a personal interview the the Director of the MSM program {this may be accomplished via telephone).
